Nile Rodgers signature is scrawled across an amazing array of music rom Madonna to Diana Ross, from David Bowie to Eric Clapton. Chic catalog of songs include "Le Freak (Freak Out )", "Good Times", "Dance Dance Dance", "I Want Your Love”. Chic has been nominated to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame four times – 2003, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Chic was started by Nile and bassist Bernard Edwards. The success of the Chic’s first singles led Atlantic Record to offer the two of them to produce any act on its roster. They chose Sister Sledge with two singles, "He's the Greatest Dancer" and the title cut "We Are Family" both reached #1 on the R&B chart, and #6 and #2, respectively on the Pop chart.
In October 2011, Rodgers worked with singer Adam Lambert in New York on a song entitled "Shady" for Lambert's sophomore album, Trespassing. Nile contributed as producer-songwriter to Daft Punk's 2014 Grammy Award Winning ablum "Random Access" and the hit single "Get Lucky".
